Play The Sims 3 Online for Free

With the closing of The Sims 2 Store, EA has offered an olive branch of sorts to The Sims 2 fans who have still refused to come over to “the dark side” : a free hour long online trial of The Sims 3. For all of my international readers, I’m sorry to say the online trial is for U.S. players only; that sucks hard for y’all.

If you haven’t played The Sims 3 yet, this might be a chance for you to sink in your teeth and see what you’ve been missing.

If you want to keep playing The Sims 2–and a lot of people will–don’t get too upset over the closing of The Sims 2 Store; there are still a ton of creators out there churning out quality custom content.

It’s okay, I’ve had the game since it came out. I played ravenously, missed my pets from Sims 2, then stopped playing. I recently saw that Sim Social game on Facebook and wondered if there was a Sims 3 online. A search brought me here, and since it proved unfruitful, I’ve reinstalled my disc. In a way, you’ve rekindled my love for it. So, thank you, Ms. Amy.

It’s ever so easy to fall in love with this game once again now that there are tons of mods for it, which I’ve discovered from another article you wrote. That, and knowing that Pets are so close to release.
