Late Night New Sims 3 Expansion

in Late Night, Sims 3 Gripes, Sims 3 Pictures, Sims Videos

These babies are coming at us like hot cakes or something…or basically anything that might fly at your head quickly.

First the base game, then World Adventures, then High-End Loft Stuff Pack, then Ambitions, then an announced Fast Lane Stuff Pack and now Late Night. My fingers are tired just typing all of that.

All this for a game that came out just over a year ago. Sheesh!

Late Night is like Nightlife which was like Hot Date before it.

You can read the release over on my Press Release section. I’ll even link ya cause I know you’re lazy: Late Night Next The Sims 3 Expansion.

Here’s the most interesting and exciting quote out of the whole shebang:

“…they can discover the secret of becoming a vampire…”

That kicks a ton of ass.

I can’t help but wonder if players really were, “…very vocal about unleashing their Sims in more interesting and unpredictable social situations…”. New places are great; the towns do get old after a while. And I’m sure having the ole hot tub back will be a hoot but I’m a bit surprised they didn’t go the Seasons route or the Pets route.

Let’s see. Here’s the rundown of the Sims 2 Expansions:

  • University – which I loved
  • Nightlife
  • Open for Business – Ambitions’s ugly looking daddy
  • Pets
  • Seasons
  • Bon Voyage – which was like an anemic World Adventures
  • FreeTime
  • Apartment Life

They’ve basically checked three out of the eight expansions off the list. Should be interesting to see what they throw at us next. All I can say is they better make this worth my while because High-End Loft was full of fail.

And now, for my next number, I bring you a video and pictures. Yay pretty pictures!

*Edited to add Key Features*

  • Unleash your Sims in more interesting and unpredictable social situations!
  • Schmooze with celebrities on the rooftop of a skyscraper, woo the crowd with your Sims’s band, or be the best bartender in town at the hottest new lounge.
  • Hang out at the hippest spots in town, from dive bars to dance clubs to chic lounges, complete with bouncers.
  • Gain fame and fortune as a member of a music band, mixologist, director, or local celebrity.
  • Wander into a certain part of town and your Sims just might uncover the secret to becoming a vampire.
  • Gain access to exclusive areas and enjoy celebrity perks like penthouse living, luxury hot tubs and cars.

When does this come out? I heard In October, but has a date been released yet?

  • Amy

Oct. 26th. in the US – I’m not sure about other countries. 🙂

  • Taber

Ok thanks, (I am in the US btw)

is everyone stupid? HIGH END LOFT STUFF WAS A STUFF-PACK not an EXPANSION-PACK stuff packs are just full of furniture and objects not any expanded abilities!

    • Amy

What the hell are you talking about? Who said High-End Loft STUFF PACK was anything other than a STUFF PACK?

In fact, I only reference the Stuff Pack twice. Once to say: “…then World Adventures, then High-End Loft Stuff Pack, then…” and then to point out that High-End Loft Stuff Pack “was full of fail” and I’ve mentioned several times [probably on Twitter] that I disliked High-End Loft Stuff Pack because it didn’t provide enough added content for the price.

I’m looking forward to it, I think it’s 28th October release for Australia? Not sure though, some people say the 30th.
Anyways, sometimes I don’t bother with Stuff packs only because the gameplay isn’t necessarily enhanced, it just looks cooler.
And by the looks of the videos there are only Gothique looking chickitas playing the vampires. Where are the Edward Cullens?
Regardless, I’m also curious as to why everybody adores Pets so much … it was cool, but by Gosh, it was harder taking care of the pets than the sims, and you had more options to manipulate how pets looked in the game – why not enhance the possibilities with how sims look, not their dogs and cats?
Anyway, I was just lazy and it became hard to care for an entire family and household plus a pet. I might even skip the Sims 3 pets this time, unless it’s animals and it has horses and a million other species, too. Wow this comment ended up longer than I expected.
Anywho, agreed, I loved University, and because it was first I didn’t realise how much I loved it until I look back at them all. Loved University! Would definitely buy a Sims 3 University.

YES! I liked having the random dog and/or cat around – I really just like creating them – but they got so damn intrusive after a point. I had enough going on with just trying to keep my sims from setting themselves on fire without having to worry about whether Fido or Miffy had ripped up my crap.

And I totally miss University. That was probably my absolute fav…though I am pissed the console Sims 3 get weather. Damn them.

I know its late to be posting a coment now, but the game is out now and its pretty awsome but i advise you dont become a vampire it sucks because you cant go out in the daytime and you die really easily.
