I love it when that happens.
On April 1st, the VP of Marketing for EA’s Play division will be showcasing Ambitions to the MI6 Conference attendees.
If you don’t know about MI6, it’s an annual conference where game industry people get together and discuss how to better market video games to people like you and me.
In fact, the presentation is just a part of a bigger session titled “Inside The Sims™ 3 – Marketing and Launching 2009’s Best-selling PC Game”.
Stop and think about that for a second.
All of these game company representatives and marketers are going to be listening to John Buchanan talk – probably for an hour – about a game a lot of people have panned in the past. About a game you’ve probably been made fun of for playing.
But EA’s business model has been ridiculously lucrative and marketers from other game franchises and marketers/developers of future franchises all want to know the secret.
So, keep your pants on and sit tight. Buchanan should have some interesting things to share and hopefully some new screens and videos.
